Camden may have found 3m4f on heavy ground at Lingfield too far and this trip may also stretch his stamina under a double penalty. Winning pointer Buck's Bond looked a stayer in the making when making a successful start over hurdles at Taunton but disappointed at Kempton subsequently and on his fencing bow at Fakenham. He may yet come good and gets 12lb from the two previous winners in this but HOWARD'S LEGACY is given another chance. Venetia Williams' gelding impressed when beating subsequent Mountainous at Ffos Las and again when second to Opening Batsman at Wincanton. He's won over 3m so the extra quarter-mile shouldn't be a problem. None of the others make much appeal.
