NOVIS ADVENTUS (NAP) carries a penalty for last week’s easy win at Worcester and will be going up more than 7lb from tomorrow so running here is a sensible move. Harry Reed’s claim helps with the extra and Neil Mulholland’s top weight can complete a quick double. Stablemate Poetic Lady won on this card last year and goes well fresh so can’t be ignored. Mcgroarty is another unlikely to fail through lack of fitness and was in good form around this time last year while Maquisard ran well in a recent pipe-opener on the Flat.
