In depth

Verdict

A wide open contest here and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Myson, Old Buddy, Walcot Lad and Pounsley Mill and the vote is given to Old Buddy. The selection was a fair second behind Toms Gone Grey last time out and need only run up to that form to score. Myson rates the main danger on his lates second behind Woodenbridge Dream but that form has since been let down so he is passed over on this occasion. Walcot Lad is another with claims on his best form but he disappointed last time out and his best form is over a longer trip so he is over looked on this occasion. Pounsley Mill has droped to a handy mark and is one to monitor in the market while Bandit Brown is from a shrewd yard and is another that could go well but in a race that throws up more questions than answers for the winner we return to Old Buddy.
