Guard Duty, Majed and Alpine Slave look the principles in a moderate contest with Guard Duty getting the confident vote. Martin Pipe's 7-year-old won well last time out when defeating Phar Post at Taunton and despite his penalty he is taken to win again in what looks an easier race. Majed rates the main danger on his latest second Bee An Bee but he has had plenty of chances in the past and tends to find one too good. Alpine Slave is another worthy of respect and he was a fair fourth behind Tikram at Fontwell last time and the step up in trip is sure to suit. The remainder have shown very little of late and are readily opposed, so for the winner we return to Guard Duty who gets the confident nomination.
