Verdict

SANDGATE, a winner on the level for Richard Fahey, ran well for a long way on his hurdling debut at Ludlow and this won't take much winning so he gets the vote. Darebin, a winner at Sandown a month ago, was supported for a follow-up at Newbury but ran poorly. That didn't look his form and he's an obvious threat. Albert Herring was beaten a long way at Warwick last time but Extreme Appeal, who showed promise on the Flat in Ireland, is tried in blinkers after a poor debut over hurdles for new connections.
