Verdict

Ourmanmassini is having his 22nd start over hurdles but continues to slip down the weights and should be thereabouts in a race like this. The Lampo Genie ran in snatches when third at Southwell but would have a cracking chance on his second at Wetherby last year. Shimba Hills won on Polytrack last month but has yet to show much over timber so far. DRAGOON GUARD won a race on the all-weather for Marco Botti and may do better over hurdles now that the ground has dried out – he's on a very lowly mark at present.
