Regal Vision may be the one to be on here ahead of Red Guard and topweight Supreme Arrow. Regal Vision was in the process of running a big race at Plumpton just over three weeks ago when a mistake at the eighth stopped him in his tracks. Charlie Mann's charge could well have made all otherwise, but still managed to at least beat Supreme Arrow home and meets that rival on slightly better terms as well. The selection was a 40/1 shock winner at Newton Abbot last June and has been unable to add to his haul since, but ran his best race yet at Leicester the time before last when second to Good Outlook, and off his current mark, is worth chancing. Supreme Arrow would really prefer faster ground and may again be found wanting under these conditions, despite having Tony McCoy in the plate. Red Guard has dropped to a reasonable mark but was tailed off when pulled up at Newbury, while Sylphide on the other hand, produced her best performance for some time when runner-up at Stratford 17 days ago and could run into a place. However, if Regal Vision gets into his stride early, he can go on to make all.
