        Verdict

        An uncompetitive contest and this looks an ideal opportunity for Special Present to follow up a recent Stratford success last month. The four-year-old scored with plenty of authority and can progress further so is handed a confident TEAMtalk vote ahead of Dardanus. The latter also carries a penalty for a course and distance victory in August and will be no pushover following fine efforts since including a close second here last time. Mountrath Rock is a poor performer on the level and has shown little on two previous starts over timber but still may prove best of the rest.
