Be Daring has started favourite in six of his last seven starts but his record over hurdles now reads 0-12 and he’s clearly not one to rely on. Heavy ground is a major concern for High Wells as he couldn’t cope with soft going on the Flat, though he probably still has some potential. Kastani Beach is well treated nowadays but the 12-year-old hasn’t won in more than three years. Fellow veteran THUNDERING HOME scored off a 14lb higher mark at Exeter a year ago. He’s not really sparkled this season but a third at Doncaster in February hinted at a revival and Richard Mitchell’s grey makes more appeal the Welluptoscratch and Dragon Khan.
