This is quite a competitive Classified Hurdle, albeit at a modest level, and our vote goes to Bekstar ahead of Polish Legend, Isam Top and, possibly, Algymo. Bekstar actually won from a mark of 90 two years ago and showed that she retained ability by winning off 81 last time out at Wincanton. A change of tactics served her well on that occasion and, much as she needs to build on that to win, she might be up to the task. Polish Legend ought to be competitive from his current rating but rarely wins, and Fairmorning has yet to score in 12 starts. Isam Top is another with a poor win record but, having had a recent run to blow away the cobwebs, is another that should also be competitive from his current rating. Algymo is a possible improver in this company after showing some promise in novice hurdles but it is not easy to build a strong case for Great Ovation based on what we have seen recently. Once again, then, it's over to Bekstar to build on her fair effort last time.
