Considering his bumper form, Peculiar Places was disappointing on his first completed start over hurdles at Hexham. Oliver Sherwood runs two but Pontresina is rated 14lb higher than No No Juliet, though the mare does receive a 7lb mares’ allowance. Present Destiny wasn’t beaten far in a handicap here last month but that was a first place in six attempts. DOUBLE TREASURE is a 150-rated chaser and would only need to run up to a fraction of that form to record a first win over hurdles. He would have found 3m2f too far at Cheltenham in April on his comeback.
