    Verdict

    Only a small field goes to post for this handicap and Howdigo, Goodwood Starlight and Timocracy look the three to concentrate on; the vote is given to Howdigo. The selection finished second last time out behind Times Vital, but the pair pulled clear of the rest of the field and the form looks solid enough. He might have won with a more positive ride that day and he can gain his compensation here. Goodwood Starlight has got some decent form but he has yet to prove that he sees out this trip and on that basis we will pass him over. Timocracy was narrowly beaten by Princess Flame at Pontefract last week but he is another that has a question to answer with regards to today's trip. Belotto has had a few chances now and she look opposable, while Any Given Day looks high enough in the weights at present. All of which returns us to Howdigo as the pick.
