Spanish Ace looks the one to be with here and he is preferred over the likes of Penrice Castle and Fast Freddie. The selection has plenty to recommend him here as he has a good draw and he has also got winning form over this course and distance. He shaped with a bit more encouragement last time and he could prove to be the value call. The worry is the form of the stable, a comment which also applies to Bluebok. Penrice Castle won well at Great Leighs but then she looked as though the handicapper might have her measure when she finished third behind Music Box Express at Lingfield last time. Fast Freddie has been threatening to get his head in front, but he has yet to win on the turf and he has tended to reserve his best for the all-weather. Bookiesindex Boy is on a fair mark but he has been a bit disappointing of late. We will therefore stick with Spanish Ace as the pick.
