Jeff Pearce's Dazzling Begum ran better when third to Snowberry Hill at Wolverhampton last week and she has every chance back on turf in a similarly weak contest but she is better on the Polytrack and Fibresand and preference is for SAND REPEAL, who gets the verdict ahead of Aaman. Ed Vaughan's colt is less exposed than most of these after just seven starts and has shown improved form since being sent handicapping of late, having won at Goodwood and been placed either side of that, and he should be thereabouts again. Mark Johnston's Emiratesdotcom has had the three runs necessary for a handicap mark and has to be considered on his debut in the grade but he needs to step up on all known form to trouble the judge. Jim Best's Lady Pilot is probably better over hurdles than on the flat but has run creditably in his last couple of starts on the level so cannot be discounted. Double Spectre has not won since June last year and could probably do with some help from the handicapper, with a safer option looking to be Sand Repeal. Julia Feilden's gelding is now 1lb lower than when successful here in June and, having run well in defeat in his last two starts, looks worth siding with to record another course victory.
