Talayeb was highly tried as a two-year-old but disappointed on his reappearance at Kempton last month and Marcus Tregoning's gelding looks best watched at present so preference is for Touchdown, who gets the vote with Harlestone Gold rated the pick of the remainder. The selection made a belated debut at Kempton earlier this month when finding just Andrew Balding's Top Lock too good, with some useful performers behind. With improvement likely for that run, Touchdown should be hard to beat. Paul Cole's Precision Break did not progress as much as may have been anticipated on his second start at Lingfield but may do better now that he encounters a more suitable trip. Peter Chapple-Hyam's Platoche was well held on his debut and seems best watched at present and of more interest may be John Dunlop's newcomer Harlestone Gold, who is bred to get at least this far. Touchdown has plenty going for him though and he is preferred.
