This will no doubt develop into a gruelling test if the predicted rains continue to pound the course and this is not a race for the feint hearted. Therefore, Dad's Lad is only a tentative selection to get the better of Running Machine and Bee An Bee, who is not without a chance for each way players if his jumping holds up. The same comments apply to both Moral Support, who has plummeted in the ratings but ran as if his interest was revitalised last time, and Majed, who is also on a very attractive mark and will go close if he decides to put it all in today. However, they are also both hard to win with and are not ones to trust implicitly to big stakes. Therefore, Dad's Lad, who had the race set up for him at by Running Machine at Ascot last time, is fancied to make the most of his fair mark and extend his run of good form this term. The ground will not be a problem for the ten-year-old and, with Colin Bolger taking a useful 5lb off his back, Dad's Lad looks the most reliable of this frustrating bunch that are set assemble for this test of stamina.
