Verdict

A winner of 11 races over hurdles and fences in France, Le Sauvignon has his first start in Britain for trainer Paul Nicholls and, if fit enough after an absence of 549 days, he should be good enough to beat his three rivals. The eight-year-old has to be the TEAMtalk selection. Course and distance winner Magic Of Sydney, a faller at Wincanton recently, will have his supporters back at Folkestone, while Brockton Mist and Tosti, another French import, are both capable of better than they have shown of late. However, if the Nicholls horse runs up to his best, he should win.
