Cape did not have the clearest of runs on his reappearance at Goodwood earlier this month and off the same mark today James Fanshawe's colt looks worth another chance with the main threats looking to be Keyaki and Maltese Falcon. The last mentioned disappointed when favourite for a handicap over the minimum trip at Newbury when last seen in April but should do better back over six furlongs today, although Paul Cole's gelding may be anchored by his big weight. Forest Dane is consistent but may be a shade high in the weights, while Pearly Wey is gradually slipping to a fair mark but may need more help from the handicapper. James Toller has his string in good from so Swinbrook has to be considered although a bigger threat may come from Chris Wall's Keyaki, who has shown progressive form of late. Several have chances here but none has more solid claims than Cape who gets the vote.
