BALLYOLIVER was much too keen for his own good when tailed off on his reappearance at Towcester but has shown promise in the past, most notably when third at Wincanton just over a year ago. This is a weak-looking handicap and it would be no surprise to see the seven-year-old finally get his head in front if he settles a little better today. Nothingbutthetruth is only a pound higher than when runner-up over a longer trip here last time and Trevor Whelan takes off 7lb. He shouldn't be far away again while Lajidaal was third at Plumpton after a break, though generally seems to prefer a faster surface than the one he'll encounter today. Promised Wings and Doyenne Dream both have the past form to figure but disappointed last time.
