Lenwade is selected over Redspin, Mustang Ali and Sonoma, with Harlestone Linn another to consider. Lenwade has not won since last September, but has been crying out for a try at two miles judged on her latest efforts. It is amazing that George Margarson has not been tempted to give it a go until now, and off a decent mark still, the step up in trip can pay off in what is a poor race. Most of her opponents are way out of form, including Redspin, but he at least has a light weight and is open to more improvement this term, having had just the three outings. Mustang Ali has the odd-placed effort to his name, while Sonoma is fit from a successful stint over hurdles but has more to do on the level. Harlestone Linn hails from a stable that can improve its inmates over a trip, but like the rest of these he is not in there best of form. The one bright spot is that he is coming down the weights gradually, and that may enable him to take a hand in the finish. Bets should be kept to the absolute minimum here, with Lenwade the call.
