Crossing The Line looks a stand-out bet in this handicap and he can prevail over Spritza and Jafaru. It was no surprise that Crossing The Line showed improved form when stepped-up in trip at Wolverhampton last time when he was only narrowly beaten by History Boy. He did not do a lot wrong on that occasion and nominal improvement should make him tough to beat here. Spritza ran a fair race at Windsor last time but the suspicion is that the handicapper has her measure at present. Jafaru maintained his form with another solid effort at Goodwood last time and now that he is upped in trip again he is expected to go well. Red Flare has been running with plenty of credit and should not be dismissed lightly, but Crossing The Line looks a typical Sir Mark Prescott improver and he is a confident choice.
