Marafong has 1lb in hand over FLOUNCING on official BHA ratings and should appreciate the testing ground but Julia Feilden's gelding is surely likely to do better when stepped up in trip and preference is for the William Haggas-trained filly, who is proven on the ground and comes from a yard that has started the season in good form so she looks the one to beat with the main danger rated as Piccolo Blue. The last mentioned is bred to appreciate cut in the ground and should improve for racing on this surface having been well held on her debut on the Polytrack at Kempton in February. Sylvester Kirk's Free For All ran much better on his second start as a juvenile and has to be considered but the stable has made a quiet start to the current campaign so lack of a recent run is of some concern. Jeremy Gask's Sulis Minerva ran well first time out last month on the Polytrack but may not want the ground as testing as this on turf, while Trelicia needs to improve on all known form to trouble the judge. Flighty Frances is an interesting newcomer for David Elsworth but Flouncing has an obvious chance and can make a winning reappearance on ground that suits.
