Patavium Prince can land this competitive handicap at the expense of Young Bertie and Dab Hand. The selection did win a little race in May but has been frustrating in defeat ever since. He has though showed signs of coming back to form the last twice though when second at Folkestone and then fourth of fifteen at Thirsk last time out so he has to be considered here off a mark he is capable of winning off. Young Bertie is still a maiden after eight starts but has shown great promise in each of his runs without getting his head in front. He ran third of eleven in a handicap at Newbury last time suggesting that his first win is not far away but he may have to settle for place money once more. Dab Hand is another maiden that caught the eye last time when second at Lingfield and with that in mind is given a chance but for the winner we return to Patavium Prince.
