Many will be prepared to give Sharpener another chance but it makes more sense to side with either Sley or Dareh. Richard Hannon's filly chased home Fantasia on debut and has headed the market on both subsequent starts as a result. A case can be made for her in this weaker contest but excuses are beginning to run out. Thegirlsgonewild is worth a second look for a yard that has enjoyed some success at this track but a more obvious debutante winner comes in the shape of Dareh. She's by Invincible Spirit who gets plenty of juvenile winners and she's likely to know her job. Supporters shouldn't be put off by the fact that Sley was 150-1 on debut as she showed plenty of promise in a maiden won by a well regarded filly. Another furlong would have been preferable but Brian Meehan's runners can usually be relied upon to improve with experience and SLEY may be able to rout this opposition.
