      Verdict

      Cougar's Gold stepped upon his first run when fifth at Doncaster. Newcastle fourth Eaton Hill is a likely improver but Hurricane Dylan makes his debut under Rules having been placed twice between the flags. GEORDIE DES CHAMPS took his chance in the Champion Bumper at Cheltenham after an opening second at Chepstow but, unsurprisingly, found that company far too hot. He remains unexposed and this looks a good opportunity to get off the mark. West Torr represents a stable that do well in races of this type but he was disappointing in point-to-points.
