Unless one of the newcomers proves useful, KIBAAR should put a very disappointing run at Bath behind him and land this without too much fuss. An unlucky loser at Ascot on his previous start, he appeared to find the very fast going against him at Bath and with conditions more likely to suit he should gain his first success. Emef Rock has been showing good pace and should do better than the other with experience, Steel Blaze, who finished tailed off at Warwick. Aussie Ruler might well prove the main threat as he's a speedily-bred son of Aussie Ruler out of a very sprint-bred mare but Bannister Bell could need a bit further as he's out of a mare who won over 1m2f.

Kibaar 1-2fav (9-5) Took keen hold, fast away, soon steadied tracking leading pair, pulled out 2f out, ridden over 1f out, no extra inside final furlong, weakened into 4th close home, 4th of 8, 2 3/4l behind Brown Velvet (9-0) at Bath 6f 2yo mdn (5) fm in May.
