In depth

Verdict

Successful twice on the Flat over the summer, George Bancroft was surprisingly easy to back on his hurdles bow at Fontwell but got the job done. This is probably more difficult under a penalty but he shouldn’t be far away again. Zinc White won twice over 1m6f for Ralph Beckett in May and should make a hurdler for Ollie Greenall while Cornicello won twice on the level in France. MOKA DE VASSY is making his racecourse debut but is bred for jumping being a half-brother to five winners including the useful Saint De Vassy. He might be worth a small interest as the testing going should suit.
