Verdict

TRE A PENI had shown little on most starts before posting a much-improved effort last time when a solid third in a large-field handicap at Uttoxeter. She actually runs off a 2lb lower mark here and will go close if building on that recent progress. Miss Pearl is another who displayed some improvement last time and should be in the mix if, like the selection, she finds a similar level now in what rates a modest-looking affair. Dana's Gem and Lady Robinn are the two possible improvers on show after just a handful of starts each and are preferred in that order with the former seen as the chief threat. Cresswell Queen and especially Saxon Queen are back after absences and Ballymilan is hard to fancy on the back of three successive pulled up runs.
