      Verdict

      SPIRIT OF APPIN looked on the upgrade when scoring at Lingfield this month and should have more to offer on just her fourth start. She stays the trip well, handles conditions and looks nicely treated on handicap bow. Regina Pacis has a similarly progressive profile having toughed it out well to score at Windsor last time. The 10lb she receives from the selection, when the claim of Finley Marsh is included, makes her a real threat, although this is her first attempt at 1m2f. Wingingit has plenty on at the weights but has been contesting far better races this term and this significant drop in grade could see her get involved at the business end.
