The one to beat here is ON BORROWED WINGS, who can gain further reward for some consistency, with perhaps Cappagh and Sleepy Hollow likely to give him most to do. The selection did well in Ireland in bumpers and a maiden hurdle before joining his current yard and running a nice debut for them at Kempton. He is battle-hardened, goes well over this sort of trip and on the ground, so he has plenty in his favour. Philip Hobbs saddles Cappagh, who was never really put in the race on his Taunton debut a week or so ago. He will surely come on a bundle for that, acts with cut, and we should see more from him today. BA Dreamflight has gone well with plenty of cut on the flat, where his optimum trip is 10f. Thus far he has failed to sparkle over hurdles, but this is now his third start and his trainer can surely begin to squeeze some improvement out of him. However, stablemate Sleepy Hollow looks a better proposition. Hughie Morrison's charge acts on soft on the flat, where he is rated in the 80s. Proven over 1m 6f in that sphere, he will probably want further over hurdles to be at his best, but his touch of class should see him go close in this company. Debutant Amber Ridge will probably want better ground than today's to be fully effective, while Kensington Oval looks the pick of the Jonjo O'Neill-trained pair. On Borrowed Wings can take the prize.
