    Verdict

West Approach has run some fine races in defeat over hurdles but probably needs at least 3m to reproduce his best form and may be worth opposing on his first run over fences. BRELAN D'AS sports the first colours of JP McManus and has been very lightly raced. Probably bought with a career over fences in mind, he can make a winning start here. Locally-owned Jameson was useful over timber and is another who is unexposed while Tobefair won seven on the spin over hurdles last season, including one here around this time of year. Kimberlite Candy has won a point-to-point and also over hurdles but Eddiemaurice was rated a lot lower than the rest over the smaller obstacles.
