MINDER caught the eye when running well on his debut and is taken to land the finale at the expense of Key Regard and Double Act. The selection was only moderate on the flat earning himself a rating in the 60's but he showed promise when finishing second of 16 on his debut at Stratford last month with Key Regard only a short-head behind in third spot. He is sure to benefit for the experience and with further improvement to come he is difficult to oppose. Key Regard was good enough to win a maiden on the flat at Lingfield in March and ran with credit on his hurdles debut, but is unlikely to reverse placings with the selection. Double Act was rated as high as 80 on the level when trained by Jeremy Noseda, but was disappointing on his hurdles debut at Stratford and considerable improvement will be needed for him to trouble the judge. Minder sets the standard and is worth staying on the right side of.
