This won't take much winning and Mac Bertie is the only previous course winner in the line-up. Parting Way has only been placed once in five tries over fences but wasn't beaten that far when fifth at Huntingdon in April. Orthodox Lad could figure if fully wound-up but, with the rain falling, PAY YOUR WAY should be in his element and the winning pointer has always looked likely to do well over fences.
Orthodox Lad 40-1 (9-5) Slowly into stride, held up in rear, some headway over 4f out, no impression, well beaten over 2f out, 10th of 11, 21 3/4l behind Jan Van Eyck (9-9) at Wolverhampton 1m 4f hcp (5) pol in Dec.
