A modest closing event with BEST ONE taken to oblige at the expense of Andrasta and Milton Of Campsie. Ron Harris has had a disappointing month or so but the glut of losers came to an end recently and it is conceivable that the five-year-old has dropped down the weights enough to become a viable betting proposition. Andrasta seems capable of handling any surface. She is 2lb higher than her latest winning mark though will run her race. Milton Of Campsie has a second run for John Balding. The handicapper rated her some 14lb higher last term so he cannot be accused of failing to provide her with some help. Bahama Baileys showed little on belated seasonal reappearance. Brandywell Boy was worried out of it at Salisbury last time and has been raised 2lb despite not getting his head infront. Namu looks high enough up the weights at present while Cocktail Party has a bit to prove having disappointed at Chepstow last week having shown a glimmer of ability the time previously. BEST ONE could well prove that come the finish.
