      Verdict

      Praxiteles won over 1m6f here just over a year ago off a 4lb higher mark and can be forgiven recent efforts on softer ground. He can't be ignored while Sansili is another for the short-list as he's been in good form this summer, though is possibly in the handicapper's grip now. Our Folly only found Ponte Di Rosa too good at Warwick in June after winning at Chepstow but just as interesting is AMPLEFORTH. Ian Williams' four-year-old tries 2m for the first time but was doing his best work at the finish over 1m6f at Sandown last time and is on a fair mark at present. He gets the nod with Sugar Hiccup likely to prove best of the rest.
