Verdict

Dermot Weld won this a year ago and had landed the Festival's opening event over hurdles with Force Of Habit, who had been running on the Flat. A similar programme has been undertaken this time and though making his chasing debut he'll know what it's all about. Cairdin landed a bumper at last year's fixture and scored over hurdles at Punchestown in October. He made early mistakes on his chasing bow behind Laganbank at Roscommon but warmed to his task and looks sure to go well. Ferris Bueller has shown ability over fences but the form pick has to be SILVERHAND. Noel Meade's charge won four times over timber and though beaten when strongly fancied on his chasing bow he improved when runner-up to Baily Green at Roscommon and looks ready to gain his first chasing success.
