In depth

Verdict

WEST WITH THE WIND is narrowly preferred to The Jigsaw Man and Mumbles Pier. Evan Williams' charge lost no caste in defeat at Aintree last time out when he needed to give a stone away to a progressive sort from the Nicky Henderson stable. He is thoroughly proficient with his fencing and acts on tonight's surface. The Jigsaw Man landed a gamble over hurdles last time out. A win record of five from seven is not to be sniffed at. Mumbles Pier is dropped in trip having tried his hand over further. He has a very solid cruising speed and its worth noting that the yard landed something of a tilt at the ring on Sunday. Mister Bishop has been tried at a high level in Ireland over hurdles though has yet to be seen on ground as quick as this. West With The Wind gets the nod.
