Verdict

An unappealing contest with half of the field racing from out of the handicap and none coming into the race in any sort of form. One of them will finish the day with a one next to their name; it may or may not be GEMINI STORM. Good Old Days provided this field with the one chasing success that they have mustered in sixty two starts or so between them and could emerge as a leading player here. He's been well beaten of late but that applies to most of these. Leopold has made he frame a few times over fences in the past and could go well if stripping fit on his return to action over a trip that suits him well enough. There's little to commend Vicentio, Auburn Grey and Boscall Hill at first glance but we're loathe to discard them here although we'll suggest Gemini Storm. Owen Brennan's runner has run adequately at the track in the past and may just have needed his reappearance which saw him finish over thirty lengths behind the winner. He did attract a little support there and Gemini Storm may now be able to recoup those losses.
