NORTH WALK has travelled the breadth of the country to participate here and it may be worth taking the chance that he can contribute to the diesel costs. Fire In Cairo is a solid choice for the short-list whilst we'll be keeping a weather eye on Abbey Hall and Past Heritage. Much as the market may signal their chances it may also provide an indication to the chances of the selection. North Walk is a jump maiden after twelve starts and has run well below par the last twice but she is having her first run for a yard that has done well with their recruits from other stables. She has claims on the best of her form, a good pilot in the plate and may be rejuvenated by the change of scenery. Fire In Cairo represents a trainer with a good record at the track and the booking of the promising Rhys Flint also takes the eye. She is unexposed after just four starts and begins her handicap career on a realistic mark at a realistic level. Past Heritage is a dual winner over hurdles and has been running adequately over fences of late. Support would be encouraging for his chances as it would for handicap debutante Only Hope but perhaps the most interesting runner in that respect is Abbey Hall who drops in grade on her first run for a new yard following five starts in Ireland. All in all, it's an interesting seller to get us underway and North Walk is the hopeful choice to get us off to a winning start.
