Verdict

Redspin has shown enough to suggest that a race of this nature would be well within his compass and he gets the verdict over Burning Shore and Rescind. Admittedly the selection was tailed off when second to Lough Derg at Newbury last time but earlier form behind Chief Yeoman and Howle Hill gives him the beating of his rivals. Stablemate Oh So Rosie, a 58-rated miler on the flat makes her hurdling debut and appeals most of the newcomers but a bigger threat is likely to come from one of those with hurdling experience. Burning Shore did not race on the flat but has shown respectable form in two starts over timber, latterly when third behind Mexican Pete at Huntingdon. He rates a bigger danger than Rescind, who belied odds of 50/1 to finish third in a maiden hurdle on his debut over timber. Ziet d'Alsace is worthy of a mention but Redspin sets a fair standard and gets the nod.
