This is the feature race on the card and looks a good opportunity for Cool Monty to register another victory, with Jahash and Monte Cristo the selected dangers. Andrew Balding's gelding has had his training problems over the years and rarely runs two races alike, however his success at Huntingdon in December was gained with a fair amount of authority and if reproducing that effort will be hard to beat. Monte Cristo will be a major threat so long as the ground does not come up too soft. He stayed on resolutely to beat Ivanoph at Stratford last time and still looks on a fair mark. Jahash hails from the inform Alan King stable and although well beaten in a small field at Ascot last time when not allowed to dominate, he could be a big threat if he can manage to poach a lead. Of the rest Marigliano is entitled to go well if the rain stays away, but in a competitive affair we think Cool Monty has the best credentials.
