Verdict

Irish raider Slainte And Thanks made all for an easy victory at Clonmel in June and though she hasn't replicated that performance she wouldn't be running here unless thought capable of a big effort. However, Emmett Mullins knows how to place his horses to their best effect and his new recruit YEATS BABY (NAP) must have been showing him enough to send her on the long journey from County Carlow. The last time Gold Chain won in May of last year she was on a mark of 111 and is 16lb lower but she's hardly picked her feet up all year. Christian Williams sponsors the race and Robbina may prove the best of his pair though Maronette may be more of a threat as she has a bit of scope and ran well for a long way on her reappearance at Stratford.
