Mad Professor has hardly got the best of strike-rate's but now dropped in grade he has solid claims of claiming just his second win in nineteen starts; Seveneightsix and Power Glory look two for the shortlist. The selection comes here on the back of a fair fourth at Hereford and should run well here having proven himself on tight left-handed tracks in the past. Power Glory isn't the most reliable of jumpers but now back over the smaller obstacles he has claims, although a record of one win in twenty-five starts all told, and yet to win over obstacles makes him a tricky betting proposition. Wujood needs a check in the betting returning from an absence, whilst Matinee Idol should be fit from a recent run on the flat. Seveneightsix was second is a similar contest at Hexham and has claims if repeating that effort, whilst Green Prospect is another for consideration returning from an absence. A tricky opener, in which preference is for Mad Professor.
