Verdict
Ungaro has the highest rating of these being currently rated 137 but the 11-year-old has lost his way considerably in recent years and has not won since landing the Feltham in 2006 and he looks best left out of calculations in a race taken to go to DEAD OR ALIVE, who is preferred to Young Collier. The last mentioned ran well in two hunter chases last season and was successful in points either side of those runs so he still retains plenty of ability although lack of a recent run is of some concern. Andrew Nick was pulled up on his most recent start under rules at Chepstow in April but he has had a recent run in a point so he cannot be discounted. Bantry Bere, a recent faller in a point-to-point, will hopefully jump better today but is likely to have to settle for minor honours behind Dead Or Alive. Tim Vaughan's gelding showed a decent level of form in novice hurdles in the autumn and looks worth backing back over the larger obstacles in a race that should not take much winning.
