In depth

Verdict

A decent renewal of the day’s feature. Glimpse Of Gold was third last year but probably faces stronger opposition than 12 months ago. Haafapiece was more than 20 lengths behind Big Boy Bobby at Huntingdon in December but has been more like his old self since here and at Wetherby. Swaffham Bulbeck is fit from the Flat and Takeit Easy looked to be coming to hand at Catterick while No No Tonic is in the form of her life. Parramount, a confirmed front-runner, will enjoy himself around these sharp bends but the four-year-old RARE MIDDLETON (NAP) could pick him off in the closing stages if enjoying better luck in-running than when third behind the useful Nusret and Perseus Way in the Adonis at Kempton last month.
