Verdict

GREAT OCEAN ROAD gets the nominal vote in a weak race. Despite looking a bit slow here last time out, the selection should be more of a force today on this slower ground and his rivals don't look as formidable. Kinkeel failed to complete at Towcester but he should come on for that run and his Southwell second puts him in the mix, as would a repeat of Phoenix Des Mottes' second to Rusty Red in April. Nautical Approach tries a tongue-tie following a solid return over fences at Fontwell, whilst Feeling Peckish finally broke his duck at the 79th time of asking at Ludlow last month. He has since suffered yet another defeat and he now has a little to prove in terms of his handicap mark.
