    Verdict

The longer trip may draw out further improvement from ROBO who is preferred to Film Festival. Rene Robeson's gelding had to work hard (as his jockey did) for victory at the track last month but he looked then as if the further he went the more he was enjoying it. Now stepped up to three miles this gelding should go close assuming the ground doesn't deteriorate too much. Film Festival impressed at Wetherby when well-backed and the longer trip shouldn't pose any problems, a comment that also applies to the chasing debutant Rester Vrai but he needs to leave his hurdling form miles behind. Of more interest is Plunkett despite being left behind at Exeter in a race won by Watamu Bay; he is better judged on his Fontwell third. Bentota, back from 719 days on the sidelines, completes the field but is hard to fancy unless the market screams otherwise.
