Irish Blessing gets the vote to win a moderate contest ahead of Tioga Gold, Clydeoneeyed and Buz Kiri. Irish Blessing was good enough to score twice at this level in the spring for the Frank Jordan stable, and it is safe to assume that he will be all the better for his latest outing at Market Rasen, his first for four months. Third that day over a inadequate trip, he will be fitter and tackles a journey that suits him better. Tioga Gold is Banded class on the all-weather these days but was second in a slightly better race than this at Sedgefield in September so has a chance of sorts, while Clydeoneeyed bids to prove that his recent win here over two miles was not a total fluke. The three horses in front of him all departed after the third last, handing him the race on a plate, but his trainer reckons that he would have been placed at least, and he will appreciate the step up in trip. Buz Kiri at least stayed on past beaten horses at Stratford last time but is not one to get worked up about, and in a race in which bets are best kept to the minimum, it is Irish Blessing that looks the part.
