Emerald Rose won this last year and though left clear when a rival went at the last she's obviously suited by the marathon trip and is only 1lb higher. Little Windmill was in very poor form at the end of last year but has bounced back with two excellent runs though has never tackled a trip this far. FIFTY SHADES won over 3m here in March and defied 5lb extra to win very easily over this trip at Warwick. He's been hit with another 9lb rise but trip and ground are in his favour and he's young enough to make the necessary progress. Gamain is on a hat-trick after two victories at Wincanton. He's only 3lb higher than his last victory there so should get involved while Mercers Court jumps well, stays the trip and likes the ground so he'll be difficult to keep out of the frame.
