In depth

Verdict

Champion jockey Richard Johnson is certainly an eyecatching booking for the Charles Pogson operation on West To Crossgales who has gone close here in the past. However, he does remain a maiden over timber after 14 starts and SIROBBIE is preferred. Harry Whittington has his string in excellent form at present and his Arakan gelding is looking to complete a hat-trick in under 30 days after posting smooth successes at Uttoxeter. His amateur rider is decent value for his claim and the gelding looks the sort to follow until beaten. Realta Dawn wasn't beaten too far the last day and is next best but will need to improve again.
